GFWC North Alabama Women's Club (NAWC) is a local GFWC Women's Club and part of: 

 

General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC) is a unifying force, bringing together local Women’s Clubs, with Members dedicated to strengthening their communities and enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service.

 

With nearly 60,000 Members in Affiliated Clubs in every state and more than a dozen countries, GFWC Members are community leaders who work locally to create global change.

As a GFWC Club, NAWC works to address the most pressing needs in our communities and our state. This includes promoting:

  • Education

  • Preserving Natural Resources

  • Stressing Good Citizenship

  • Health and Wellness

  • Contributing to Peace and Understanding

  • Supporting participation in the Arts.

Living the Volunteer Spirit

Our History

GFWC North Alabama Women’s Club (NAWC) held its first meeting on March 14, 2024. Fourteen (14) Charter Members formed NAWC.

 

These women recognized a need in North Alabama to bring together women of high integrity with the goal to grow, support one another, impact the community, and engage with the GFWC Alabama North District, State, and International Organizations.
